Sony Computer Entertainment has now introduced its "Singstar Bollywood" with a PS2 bundle -- for Rs 500 less in the Indian market.

"Singstar Bollywood" was officially launched in October last year. It's an Indianized avatar of the popular 'Singstar' franchise, and allows players to create their own little reality-show contest with friends and family.

To play "Singstar", players need to simply choose a tune, pick up the microphone, and start singing - solos or duets. For those who can't remember the song lyrics, there's a string of sub-titles provided for almost all the songs -- shades of Karaoke there as well.

Players are rated based on factors such as pitch and timing, with the added incentive of being able to sing along or against a partner, or even with a group of friends in a variety of different modes.

At launch, "Singstar Bollywood" featured nearly 30 vintage classics as well as fresh favorites off the Bollywood stable.

Now it's been bundled with a PS2 and is priced at Rs 8,990, which is Rs 500 less as compared to what it would have costed to buy the console and the game separately. The bundle also includes two microphones that are required to play the game.

The "Singstar Bollywood" PS2 bundle is now available at Croma, Hypercity, Landmark, Odyssey, Planet M, Reliance Digital, Sony World, Sony Exclusive, and leading toy and game stores across the country.
