I ran across this a few minutes ago on CNN: Gary Gygax, Dungeons & Dragons creator, dies

That's a shame. D&D gave me many of years of pleasure. From paper and dice in my teens to computer games, books and movies. Many of those that weren't directly D&D still had some elements adopted from D&D. Heck, even everquest, guildwars and WoW owe some of their rules and critters to D&D.

I really didn't realize he was that old. Thinking about it though, if the game was invented in the early 70s and he was already in his twenties, that would put him in his 60s now.

I might have to bust out some nethack or rogue. I wonder if I still have any bones files laying around.
